Jimbo Younkin, Happy Little World Builder

Hi. I’m Jimbo Younkin. I am a world builder here at CME.

My formal education is in art and design. I’ve worked at Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment for a bit over a year. I am lucky to have such talented people to work with. I continue to be amazed at the caliber of talent we are able to attract to our company and our project.

I hail from the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I’ve been married to my beautiful wife for over 2 years. Our first date consisted of playing Halo and blasting Covenant scum into purple goo. (Who wouldn’t be smitten with a girl who knows how to no-scope a grunt at 30 yards?!)

These days I can most often be found playing shooters and racing games on the Xbox 360 and (when friends are over) the Wii. A few of my favorite games are Gears of War, Halo, Halo 2, Ico, and Shadow of the Colossus (why is that game so dang good?!).

My job here is coming up with ways to build worlds that will amaze and astound with their beauty and depth. I want worlds that will be a fun to play and explore. I’m looking to build worlds that will draw you in and allow you to get lost in them. If I succeed at this I’ll be happy and I hope you as the player will as well.
