| Stargate Worlds talks with Beckett Massive Online Gamer about transferring the franchise into an MMO, the partnership between CME and Bridge Studios, and allowing players to become part of the story. |
The article, located on pages 48 and 49 of the December/January 2008 issue of the magazine, also includes never-before-seen screenshots and concept art!
Here's just one of the many questions and answers featured in the article ...
"We know that Stargate Worlds wants to be more story driven, but is that in regards to the experience of the characters, or will they feel like they're part of some grand over-arcing story?
"When we talk about Stargate Worlds being story driven, we mean that we want the players to feel like their characters have stepped into the series and that their actions are meaningful in more ways than just gaining XP and cool stuff. There will be a major overarching storyline that each faction and archetype has a role in. Players will only get a piece of the total picture from each archetype they play, however, and we believe the story is so compelling that players will want to experience it multiple times to see the full story."
