"Where does the game take place and how does it relate to the tv-series?
"Dan Elggren: The game takes place between the end of season eight of Stargate SG-1 and the beginning of season nine. As fans of the series know, this time frame is left undefined by the show writers. It’s the period between the conclusion of the Goa’uld story arc and the arrival of the Ori; the members of SG-1 are taking a well-deserved break and there’s a chance to explore other stories.
"From a storytelling point of view, this is the perfect place to drop our game. This is the time for SG-2 and the other teams that have labored in SG-1’s considerable shadow to become the heroes of the show. The members of SG-1 have a role to play in Stargate Worlds, but in general they are operating behind the scenes."
