Hi,

I am Olivier, 25, single, usually my full nick is Chrysophylax even if I go around just as Chryso, you might also find me around the nick DocInNuke. I am french and I actually work in a bank in Bucharest, Romania. I am not per say a banker though, am just working at the exploitation center doing some formalism and project management for the IT department. It is nice to work abroad right out of school and I hope to push more and more north as I grow old and maybe get to Groenland or Antartica one day :)

I have been a follower of Stargate since I saw the movie at my aunt's like 10 years ago on VHS!! And I simply loved it, so when the serie started I just got a crush on it :) And now that there is a game that will be made out of this universe it is a nice way to develop the saga. And the MMO genre lends itself well to the Stargate Universe and the technology used by CME.

But this is not really how I found out about the game, in 2003 if I am not mistaken I started WoW, loved it as a priest and then after less than a year started to hate the **** thing, hated the nerfs which made the game dull in my opinion and also the fact that I had lost all patience as a raid leader towards the end. So I stopped doing raids and got a little enjoyment back from the game, but once you hit 60 well, not much to do so I simply stopped the game. I ended up going out more (crazy how much time I was playing the game) and lurking the net for another game, tried a few but sticked with none.

Then I heard about 2 games in the making, WAR and SGW around 2006. Much more information were available at the time regarding WAR so I joined one of the biggest community forum. As for SGW I was coming from time to time to the site and the forums, but only registered in december 2007. You might wonder why a switch from WAR to SGW, and actually there are some easy explanations, the first one being that I grew tired of medieval fantastic MMORPG which seems to be like 50% of the type around, then 40% for toon like and 10% for Sci-Fi. The second reason regards the communication process from EA that was just not to my liking and it seems like it is a French or European thing, cultural differences are like that :)

There is one thing I hope for CME is that they don't go down that road with the all the time AWESOME speech by a hyped guy and keep it to facts, arts, screen shots, info which they are doing pretty well already and let the community decide if it is awesome or not.

And this is actually how I ended up posting my application for the French international moderator offer and luckily got chosen. This is also how I got to do a self-bio at Khatie's request and it was a great idea to present the moderators so that the community sees who is behind a nick :) I also hope to take a part in the AddOn community of the game as soon as possible.
