*Starts Tony Stark like introduction*
The Renaissance man, Adam Zalt. I go by AJZ online which are my initials, my friends call me AJ. I am an Actor, SGW Community Assistant, and a gamer.
My journey into the gaming world started when I was young, I had an Apple ll that I use to play ‘The Oregon Trail’ on all the time. I also had a NES and I only had one game for it which was ‘Duck Hunt'. With my orange and grey NES Zapper at hand I use to have a blast with that game. As I grew up I played more and more games, Doom, X-Wing, Tie-Fighter, and many others. Late in 1997 I came upon my first mmo (the grandfather of all mmo’s) Ultima Online. I was astounded at how the game was never ending and allowed thousands of people to game online together simultaneously.
After quite a few years I ventured to other mmo’s. I have played over 70% of the mmo’s on the market to date; there have been a select few that I have loved and others that I haven’t liked so much. Since the Ultima Online days of gaming I have always been helping out on mmo community forums. I started out by volunteering my time as a tech helper and making guides and useful threads.
The first TV show I remember really getting into and watching regularly each week was MacGyver with Richard Dean Anderson. His character was somewhat of a boy hood idol for me. That’s actually one of reason I started watching Stargate SG-1 in mid-late 97 along with loving the movie. I would now consider myself a hardcore Stargate fan with having seen each episode of SG-1 and Atlantis over 4 times.
I found the Stargate Worlds forum coincidentally while helping and waiting for another mmo to be released (Lord of the Rings Online). This was in early 2006. Once I found the Stargate Worlds forum it ended up taking the majority of my time. I was amazed at the in depth debates that went on which remained civil unlike other forums I had seen in the past. Stargate Worlds intrigues me not just as a Stargate fan but also as a mmo player. Mainly because of the possibilities the game can have with mixing gate travel to different worlds with wormholes and load screens. Along with that continuing the SG-1 and Atlantis storylines far beyond what the viewers have seen during each episode.
When I am not on the SGW forums, I am going out to auditions as part of my full time job which is film and television acting. In the last two years I started taking acting as a serious profession by taking classes and doing it full time as a means of income. It is one of my main passions. If you do a search you can find my not so up to date imdb page.
That’s me AJZ!
