Read refers to the "Forum Member Exclusive Zone," a sub-forum which can only be accessed by people who have registered a free account. Forum members get to listen to the developer audio podcasts a full day before anyone else, have access to exclusive photo galleries, and even get a first look at certain pieces of concept art and screenshots!
Plus, as Senior Community Manager Katie Postma has pointed out, Stargate Worlds Forum members will be the first group considered for beta testing.
