Stargate Worlds Announces PvP at launch!

Stargate Worlds Announces PvP at launch
Introduction:
I have searched the galaxy around to uncover some interesting news about the upcoming MMORPG- Stargate Worlds. I came across a dialogue about the type of PvP we will actually have in this upcoming adventure. It seems we will have more styles and types of PvP than originally expected. What does this mean in SGW?
Here is a quote from the latest German Devloper Chat:
“
At launch, PvP dueling will be an option. There will also be PvP Servers. Then during our first big content push (that would be episode #3) the Jaffa Civil War will erupt. Then we will 'layer' in battlegrounds in all the worlds. Set up by the war. Take a good luck at the character on the box cover, my friends. A good luck.

Stargate Worlds: Pwned Radio Interview on WarCry
WarCry has received some great news from the Pwned Radio folks about last Sunday's interview with creative director Chris Klug: Great interview and went very, very well! Chris is surely one knowledgeable man!
Second, I have received a TON of Emails looking for the PODCAST.. My intern is editing it right now and it will be on our website: http://www.971theticket.com within the hour.
Tell people to click "SHOW HOSTS" then PWNED RADIO for the podcast.. If you can pull the right string and have it posted on the website, that would be great.. Maybe a discussion thread for the interview.. Chris did talk about some NEW info that people don't know about yet...
GREAT interview! Don't miss it!

About three months prior to graduating I was speaking with some guy named Josh Kurtz who worked on some game called World of Warcraft and who was now working on some game called Stargate Worlds. We kept in contact, meaning, I sent him about 800 emails between then and December with updates to my demo reel and so on. Just a tip to those who are interested in the game industry: research companies and research the people who work there -- it helps! December 20-something 2006 I moved across the country from my home to even sunnier and WAYYY hotter Phoenix Arizona. January 2, 2007 was my first day at Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment working on Stargate Worlds.

StargateWorlds.com has just posted ten images into the gallery (9 screenshots and 1 concept) revealing more details about the landscape behind Tollana!
Art Director Howard Lyon's latest concept art piece pictures a Tollana recreational area (featuring the Statue of Shar'mal). These new screenshots feature the city in both intact and damaged states, during the day and after dark. Broken buildings, ruined bridges and a scarred landscape are vividly detailed in these shots!

Stargate Worlds: Q&A on MMOGInfo

Stargate Worlds: Q&A on MMOGInfo - ( original Spanish version here)
“
Our tactical combat system will be something completely new in the MMORPG segment, yet it will be familiar to anyone who has played one before. Two things that really set our system apart are the importance of cover and the capability of the AI.
Cover has to form the core of any system trying to model modern combat in any sort of realistic manner. Standing out in the open during a firefight is suicide, and that will be reflected in Stargate Worlds where even high-level characters will hesitate to take bullets from low-level characters.
Cover will be especially important to defeat the smart MOBs in Stargate Worlds that will use firepower and maneuver to take you out. Players will have to fight smart if they want to win.

Stargate Worlds: Ancient Planet Revealed on GateWorld
“
GateWorld has received the first piece of concept art for an Ancient planet which will appear in the upcoming Massively Multiplayer Online game, Stargate Worlds!
The architecture is distinctly Ancient in origin, with the familiar spires of Atlantis, but the environment itself is very alien. Plasma and electrical discharges light the surface, with crystalline formations jutting out from below.
